Marvel Announces Stan Lee Documentary Coming To Disney+

As a writer and editor for Marvel Comics, Lee became the most well-known comic book creator in history. He was the only comic book creator whose fame was as well-known as the characters he made.
In 1941, when he was 17, he had his first piece of writing published. It was a prose story in the fifth issue of Captain America Comics. Lee made his name, however, in the 1960s, when he found a creative vein in pop culture that changed the world.
Stan Lee's 100th birthday would have been on December 28. Even though it's been a little over four years since the death of the best comic book hero, his influence on pop culture has never seemed more important.
To mark the event, Marvel Entertainment announced that a documentary about the famous comic book writer and longtime publisher of Marvel Comics will be coming out soon.
Lee is famous for making cameos in almost every movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some of these cameos are shown in Disney's trailer announcing the MCU.
Before the movies, he was known as the person who helped write the stories they were based on. Disney's post lists him as the co-creator of Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, and the Avengers.
Marvel didn't say much about the project, but it did release a teaser with Lee's cameos from other movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's not clear if the documentary will look at Lee's complicated life flaws and all, or who will be telling his story.

The video showed clips from Lee's famous cameos in the MCU (there were 22 in total), and it also showed an illustration of the artist who always wears glasses. Aside from the fact that it will be an original Disney+ project and will air sometime in 2023, not much else was said about it.
Lee, who died in 2018, helped make some of the most famous superheroes in comic books, like Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Doctor Strange, the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four.
Genius Brands International bought the exclusive global rights to Lee's name, voice, signature, and physical likeness in 2020 and will co-executive produce the upcoming documentary.
Variety says that the company started its Stan Lee Centennial at the Los Angeles Comic-Con earlier this month. There, fans of the late artist signed a birthday card with personal messages about how Lee and his work had affected their lives. In honor of Lee's 100th birthday, the company also opened a new online shop.
Andy Heyward, chairman and CEO of Genius Brands, said in a press release:
We are thrilled to celebrate Stan Lee’s 100th birthday today with multiple initiatives that pay tribute to this true cultural icon starting with creating a marketplace for his fans and with telling his fascinating story in the upcoming film premiering on Disney+.- Andy Heyward
These projects include making a marketplace for his fans and telling his fascinating story in an upcoming film that will premiere on Disney+.
Disney's streaming service is often used to share content about the company's history and how things work behind the scenes. For example, documentaries have been made about The Mandalorian, Frozen 2, and WandaVision, as well as the engineers who design the company's theme parks.
The company will probably announce when the Stan Lee documentary will come out sometime next year. If you don't want to wait until then, you can watch With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story, a documentary about Lee, for free right now on Crackle and Pluto TV.
