Reiki - The Human And Life Force Energy
Every minute, the miracle of life unfolds before our eyes. A seed sprouts into a sprout, developing into a tree that eventually flowers in the sunlight. We can see the very tangible movement and the miracle of a vital force energizing our lives all around us. This power moves mountains and galaxies, generates breathtaking beauty, supports us as a part of its organic and ordered ecosystem, and allows our physical bodies to rot and decay on their schedule.
Although we have scientific and religious accounts of how life and its energy were created, we still do not fully understand how life and its energy came to be. We do know that we would not exist without it. And we recognize that it is ultimately beyond our control. It is not dependent on the cerebral cortex. It appears to possess its strength, intellect, and unfathomable organizing principles - its universal laws requiring human adaptability and cooperation for us to survive and thrive, both individually and collectively. Let's talk more about Reiki life force energy.
The Human Energy Body And Health
The state of an individual's energy body is critical to their health because if blockages and damage in the aura are not cleared and healed, physical illness or disease can manifest. Everything that happens to us, whether negative or positive, affects our aura, although negative experiences cause blockages and eventual damage.
Every negative thought you've ever had or spoken has affected your aura and entire energy body. These effects, however, are typically transient unless the negative thoughts and words are repeatedly repeated. Similarly, any negative words or actions directed at you have the potential to generate harmful energy patterns in your aura, particularly if they elicit your emotions.

Even reading newspapers, which are frequently overflowing with negative news, or watching horror or violent films or television shows can have a calming effect on your energy field. These factors contribute to the lowering of your energy body's vibrations or life force. Fortunately, we can continue to absorb more life force, or Ki, each day, and our lives are not typically filled with only negative experiences.
Positive experiences like love and affection from family and friends, watching children play, watching a beautiful sunset, completing a creative project, or achieving success at work all contribute to raising our vibrations, or Ki, and thus balance out the effects for the majority of the time. Therefore, only severe traumas and negative experiences have the potential to permanently damage our energy field beyond our standard capacity to replenish and repair it.
The Role Of Ki - Life Force Energy
For thousands of years, the wisdom that our bodies are loaded with life-force energy (Ki) and that this is directly related to the quality of our health has been a part of the wisdom of many cultures, resulting in the development of numerous forms of "energy medicine." Some of these, such as acupuncture, shiatsu, and reflexology, require direct physical contact with the body, while others, such as herbal, homeopathic, and flower remedies, are absorbed through the skin.
Of course, energy bodies are not unique to humans. Auras are detectable in all animals, birds, fish, insects, plants, and in what we might call "inanimate" objects such as rocks, minerals, crystals, metals, and water.
The amount of Ki or life force in your body varies from day to day—there is a natural rhythmic ebb and flow to the energies within our bodies—but we absorb Ki in a variety of ways to "top up" our supply of life force, which we naturally use each day. We absorb some through food and drink—remember, all animal and plant life and water contain Ki—and we also absorb some through the air we breathe and our auric fields. Ki energy is ubiquitous; it is the unifying force of the Universe, which means there is an infinite supply.
The amount of life force in our bodies affects our inherent ability to heal, as Ki nourishes the body's structure, organs, and systems, assisting them in performing vital functions and contributing to the healthy growth and renewal of cells. However, because the amount we absorb is not constant and depends on various factors, we do not always replenish our supply of Ki sufficiently.
If this continues for an extended period, our energy body becomes depleted, and we become more susceptible to illness and weaker, physical death, and even aging process because our Ki, or life force, is what defines us as living beings. We would not be alive without it.
This means that when our Ki is strong and free-flowing throughout our entire energy body, we feel healthy, strong, fit, and energized. Additionally, we feel confident, prepared to enjoy and overcome life's challenges, and are much less likely to fall ill. If our Ki level is low or its flow is restricted or blocked, we feel weak, tired, listless, and lethargic and are much more susceptible to illness or "dis-ease."
Emotional and energetic blocks to our life force alter our physical shape, posture, voice, and subtle energy field, affecting our relationships and how the world responds to us. We lose touch with our joy. We are rarely aware of our physical or emotional discomfort. Repeatedly restraining ourselves, even in little ways, creates character armor. These bands of tightened muscles choke our vital force and breath, alter our identity, and define our expression in the world. Depression and anxiety are two of the most frequent emotional illnesses worldwide.
