Why Meghan Markle Isn't Attending The Royal Coronation | E! News

Brits are said to be "rejoicing" that Meghan Markle turned down an invitation to King Charles III's upcoming coronation. A spokeswoman for the palace confirmed that Prince Harry will go to the event on May 6, but that Markle will stay behind in their big house in California.
The ceremony takes place on the couple's son Archie's 4th birthday. People say that the duchess didn't go to London because her schedule didn't work out.
After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had a rough patch with the rest of the royal family, there was a lot of talk about whether or not they would be invited to the coronation of the next UK monarch. Last month, it was confirmed that they had been sent an invite.
But there was a lot of talk in the media about whether or not they would go after Prince Harry said bad things about the royal family in his new book Spare and in interviews. Harry had already given hints that he wasn't sure if he was going or not.
But it has now been confirmed that he will go to the coronation of King Charles III without Meghan. US Weeklyquoted a source as saying in a new report. The source further said:
As much as Meghan appreciates the invite to the coronation, she wouldn’t miss her son’s birthday for the world. Despite being the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan is a mom first. “She feels very grateful to be included in such a special occasion by the royal family and is glad that Harry can go and show support on behalf of their family. But being the same day as Archie’s birthday, unfortunately, she’s just going to have to miss out on this one.- US Weekly source
King Charles III is "thrilled" that his youngest son will be there to watch him get crowned, but he wishes his daughter-in-law would also be there.
Last month, the Duke of Sussex surprised royal watchers by going to the U.K. on short notice to go to court. Prince Harry and six other well-known Brits, including Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, sued Associated Newspapers in a case that said the tabloid company's employees used illegal methods to get private information.
Harry and Meghan were last seen in public with other royal family members at Queen Elizabeth's funeral in September 2022. They were seen with William and Kate Middleton. Meghan and Harry said in January 2020 that they would step down as senior working royals. After making that announcement, they moved to the US with their two children.

Conclusion

After a lot of talk about whether or not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will accept King Charles III's invitation to attend his coronation, it looks like we finally have an answer. The palace confirmed that the Duke of Sussex will be at the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla, but Meghan Markle will not attend King Charles Coronation because she will be at another very important event.
On May 6, which is also Prince Archie's 4th birthday, the coronation will take place at Westminster Abbey in London. So, Markle will stay in California to celebrate with Prince Harry's son and their 22-month-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.
