To his older brother Tom, he has two further brothers, his twin brother Sam and his younger brother Paddy. His father is a novelist and a comedian, while his mother works as a photographer in addition to being a photographer. Teresa Holland and John Charles Anthony Holland were his paternal grandparents, who were originally from the Isle of Man and from Tipperary, Ireland, respectively.
