Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing is a Nintendo-developed and published social simulation video game series. Katsuya Eguchi and Hisashi Nogami conceived and created the series. The player character in Animal Crossing is a person who lives in a town populated by anthropomorphic animals and may engage in hobbies such as fishing, bug collecting, and fossil searching.

The series is known for its open-ended gameplay and use of the internal clock and calendar of the video game console to mimic the passage of time. Five Animal Crossing games have been published globally since their original release in 2001, one for the Nintendo 64/iQue Player (improved and reprinted for the GameCube), Nintendo DS, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo Switch.

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles

The Dracula X Chronicles enhances Rondo of Blood's gameplay with modest enhancements and features. Two new obstacles, a red skeleton barrier, and a crystal barrier have been introduced to different sections of the game.

The player receives the materials needed to remove these obstacles after saving Tera and Iris. The riddles that must be solved in order to rescue Iris and Annette have been changed. Stage 5' has a new boss, the Hydra, as well as a new stage layout.

In Stage 7, failing to save Annette compels the player to fight a vampire version of her instead of Shaft's spirit, resulting in a terrible ending. If Annette is rescued, this monster is relocated to an alternative exit in Stage 5'.

Dracula acquires a new third form after rescuing Annette and fighting Shaft's spirit, which must be fought in order to receive the real ending. Pre-existing sequences are changed or expanded, and new conversation scenes are added.

Before boss battles, little introduction cutscenes are introduced. These are completely voiced in both English and Japanese, with the player having the option to select between the two languages in the options menu.

The name of Stage 8 has been changed to "Bloodlines," which is the same name as the introductory level in the English version of Symphony of the Night. The title of the original Japanese version is "Rondo of Blood."

A Boss Rush mode is introduced, which was first seen in Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. There are four courses in the mode, each with a different set of monsters to fight.

Over the PSP's Ad-Hoc wireless connection, this mode may be played collaboratively with a second player. While the original game had anime-style artwork, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles has new character designs by Ayami Kojima, the character designer for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Day Of The Tentacle

The original Maniac Mansion pioneered the point-and-click two-dimensional adventure game format, which was followed by Day of the Tentacle. Players use the computer mouse to guide the controlled characters throughout the game environment.

Players select from a series of nine instructions displayed on the screen (such as "pick up," "us," or "speak to") and then on an item in the game environment to interact with it.

The original SCUMM interface of having a verb selection and inventory at the bottom of the screen was used until the next game to use the SCUMM engine, Sam & Max Hit the Road when the engine was modified to scroll through a more concise list of verbs with the right mouse button and have the inventory on a separate screen.

Day of the Tentacle makes significant use of time travel; early on, the three main characters are split across time due to the consequences of a malfunctioning time machine. The player may freely swap between these personas after solving specific tasks, engaging with the game's environment in different historical periods.

Certain small inventory items can be shared by placing them in "Chron-o-Johns," modified portable toilets that transport objects to another time period instantly, while other items can be shared by simply leaving them in a previous time period to be picked up by a character in a subsequent time period.

Many of the game's riddles are based on the impact of time travel, the age of specific objects, and changes to the time stream, while many of the game's puzzles are based on the effect of time travel, the aging of certain items, and alterations to the time stream.

One puzzle, for example, requires the player to send a medical chart of a Tentacle back in time to be used as the design of the American flag, then collect one such flag in the future to be used as a Tentacle disguise to allow that character to roam freely while in the future era where Purple Tentacle has succeeded.

Inside the Day of the Tentacle game, the whole original Maniac Mansion game may be played on a computer that looks like a Commodore 64; this technique has subsequently been replicated by other game makers, but it was unprecedented at the time of Day of the Tentacle's debut.

Day of the Tentacle, also known as Maniac Mansion II: Day of the Tentacle, is a 1993 graphic adventure game developed and published by LucasArts.

Sega Saturn

The Sega Saturn is a home video game system that was launched in Japan on November 22, 1994, in North America on May 11, 1995, and in Europe on July 8, 1995. It was the successor to the popular Sega Genesis and was part of the fifth generation of video game systems.

The Saturn features eight processors and a dual-CPU architecture. Its games are on CD-ROM, and it has a game library that includes both arcade versions and original games. The Saturn was first released in 1992, the same year as Sega's revolutionary 3D Model 1 arcade hardware.

The Saturn was built on a new CPU from Hitachi, a Japanese electronics firm.In early 1994, Sega installed another video display processor to better compete with Sony's upcoming PlayStation .

After a surprise introduction in May 1995, four months before its planned release date, the Saturn was initially popular in Japan but failed to sell in significant quantities in the United States.

Saturn quickly lost market share in the United States with the release of the Nintendo 64 in late 1996, and it was discontinued in 1998.The Saturn was a commercial failure, selling 9.26 million copies worldwide; the cancellation of Sonic X-treme, the first 3D entry in Sega's famous Sonic the Hedgehog series, was a factor in its performance.

The Dreamcast succeeded Saturn in 1998.Although Saturn is known for a number of well-regarded titles, such as Nights into Dreams, the Panzer Dragoon series, and the Virtua Fighter series, it has a mixed reputation owing to its complicated hardware architecture and limited third-party support. Sega's management has been chastised for choices made throughout the development and termination of the system.

Donkey Kong 64

Donkey Kong 64 is a 1999 adventure platform game for the Nintendo 64 that was developed by Rare and released by Nintendo. It's the first Donkey Kong game to include three-dimensional gameplay.

The player takes on the role of Donkey Kong, a gorilla who travels about an island collecting things and rescuing his abducted pals from King K. Rool. To earn bananas and other treasures, the player must solve minigames and puzzles as one of five playable Kong characters, each with their own unique powers.

Up to four players may participate in deathmatch and last man standing games in a separate multiplayer mode. Rare, the studio behind the Donkey Kong Country series, started work on Donkey Kong 64 in 1997, but production was halted halfway through the three-year development cycle.

In 1999, a 16-person team completed the game, with several people hired from Rare's Banjo group, and it was released by Nintendo in North America in November and internationally in December.

It was the first game to need the Expansion Pak, a memory expansion device for the Nintendo 64 system. Advertisements, prizes, and a nationwide tour were all part of the game's massive marketing spend.

With 2.3 million copies sold by 2004, the game garnered widespread praise and was Nintendo's no 1 seller during the 1999 Christmas season. It earned the Best Platform Game award at the 1999 E3 Game Critics Conference, as well as many other accolades and nominations from gaming publications.

The game's size and duration were praised by critics, but the camera controls and focuses on item collecting and backtracking were panned. Despite Donkey Kong 64's required memory add-on, several compared it to Rare's 1998 predecessor, Banjo-Kazooie, for its gameplay and graphics.

Critics said the game fell short of Donkey Kong Country's groundbreaking promise, yet it remained one of the finest 3D platform games on the system. The "DK Rap," a rap song from the game's opening prologue, is widely regarded as one of the worst tracks ever included in a video game. In 2015, Nintendo's Wii U Virtual Console rereleased Donkey Kong 64.
