CEO of Indian AI startup arrested after the discovery of 4-year-old son's body in luggage. Suchana Seth, who is the CEO of The Mindful AI, was arrested after the child's lifeless body was discovered in her luggage as she was returning to Bengaluru from Goa. The arrest was made in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka and she is under police custody pending further investigation.
Seth, who is presently being held in detention, has not been accessible for remark, and the authorities are unsure about who will be representing her in court matters. It has been difficult to get in touch with the employees of her company to obtain their feedback.
In the course of her trip to Goa, Seth and her kid checked into a hotel on the Saturday of their trip. On the other hand, according to Goa police inspector Paresh Naik, her son was not present when she checked out on Monday night.
The subsequent event was that the hotel cleaning staff found bloodstains in the room after she had left, and they immediately contacted the authorities about the situation. The police then called the taxi driver and gave him instructions to take Seth to the nearest police station.
"When her luggage was opened, the child's dead body was found," North Goa Superintendent of Police Nidhin Valsan told reporters.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged murder are unclear, but Indian news website The Weekreported that Seth told police she and her husband are estranged, and divorce proceedings are underway.
While Seth has been brought back to Goa for what are being said to be interrogations, her husband, who was in Indonesia at the time of the event, has been asked to return to India. Unfortunately, we were unable to get in touch with Seth's husband or any other member of her family to obtain a comment.
