Interesting. A new Rasmussen Reports pollfinds that, by a 16-point margin, Americans still blame the recession on former President George W. Bush’s policies instead of President Barack Obama’s policies. That’s unchanged since June, according to Scott Rasmussen.
The partisan gap is noticeable. Eighty-two percent (82%) of Democrats see Obama’s Republican predecessor as the cause of the nation’s current economic problems, while 64% of GOP voters blame the policies of the current Democratic president. Voters not affiliated with either party blame Bush more but by just eight points.
Still, that doesn’t bode well for the Republican campaign to start pinning bad economic news on Democratic management
