Via Cernig, the son of Adnan Dulaimi, head of the Sunni Accordance Front, has just been arrested by Maliki’s forces. Reuters:

One possibility is Dulaimi’s son is a terrorist and Maliki’s dudes are acting in accordance with the law. Another possibility is that this is an example of the "assertiveness" that everyone’s praising Maliki with possessing these days. He’s figuring — pace John Nagl, Shawn Brimley & Colin Kahl— that he can run the table on political opposition, whether this means Sadr, the upstart Sunni Awakening groups and the rest of what’s being called the Powers That Aren’torthe current Sunni quasi-Powers That Be.
