Minneapolis–Moments ago, Sen. John McCain stepped off his Straight Talk flying Express here and was greeted by members of his own family and that of his running-mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. The group included a soon-to be-Palin member, Levi Johnston, who was holding hands with his pregnant girlfriend, and soon-to-be wife, Bristol Palin, 17.
McCain, who seemed in high spirits, seemed to spend extra time offering counsel to the two youngsters, whose underage pregnancy has eclipsed the fictional Juno McGuff and Paulie Bleeker in the popular imagination. But, this being real life and not reel life, their story was not accompanied by a kick-ass soundtrack featuring Kimya Dawson and Belle & Sebastian.
