With gas prices rising and home values falling, Sen. John McCain sought to assuage voters’ economic worries in a speech in Pittsburgh today. Most major media outlets hit at least one of his two big points in their headlines: slash corporate taxes and suspend gas-taxes for the summer. McCain attempted to strike a populist tone, a significant effort, considering his oratory.
