Sen. Klobuchar has huge money lead over GOP challengers

A year out from the 2012 election for U.S. Senate, incumbent DFLer Amy Klobuchar has raised $1 million and has $4 million in the bank, while her Republican challengers have taken in a fraction of that. Combined, Joe Arwood and Dan Severson have raised only $50,000 and have about $35,000 in the bank.

A year out from the 2012 election for U.S. Senate, incumbent DFLer Amy Klobuchar has raised $1 million and has $4 million in the bank, while her Republican challengers have taken in a fraction of that.
Combined, Joe Arwood and Dan Severson have raised only $50,000 and have about $35,000 in the bank.
Klobuchar took in $934,456 in the 3rd quarter and has $4 million in cash on hand.
Republican challenger Dan Severson took in $35,700 and the campaign has a $6,300 debt on the books. He has $27,800 cash on hand.
The other Republican challenger, Joe Arwood, announced on Wednesdaythat he raised $10,500 and that he has $7,100 cash on hand.
Klobuchar raised nearly $9 million in her first run for the Senate in 2006. She beat Republican Mark Kennedy with 58 percent of the vote.
