Montana medical marijuana businesses are preparing to pack up shop in the likelihood the Montana Medical Marijuana Act becomes law.
It would require all businesses to close by July 1 in a complete repeal of the current law. While some shops are still clinging to a spark of hope, one growing operation already took its plants and ran.
“Obviously the only money is in the plants,” Prudential Montana real estate broker Jake Booher said. “They’re gonna take ‘em with ‘em and they’re probably just gonna sell ‘em on the black market.”
