She has been part of many programs, initiatives, and scholarships. She has been accepted into many programs such as “Seeds for The Future in China”, “Uniter in Japan", and "Google Women Techmakers Ambassador”.
She offered support to young Iraqi men and women in a way that until now, she did more than 20 sessions and workshop training for more than 1000 participants and all of them were free of charge, which she started when she was managing "speak up" on a weekly basis to discuss and talk in English. Then she made them about programming and currently its marketing. Many people think that the reason behind her success is luck but Shams is of the viewpoint that it's just not luck that matters rather, the sleepless night and fighting to get what you want matters. Eventually, the struggles paved the way to her success.
