In this free Reiki course, you will learn the skills and processes to aid yourself and others at each of the three Reiki levels, and you will receive a certificate upon completion. Among the topics covered are the discipline's guiding principles, the seven principal chakras, and sacred symbols that are both traditional and nontraditional. The rebirth of Reiki and the lives of some of its most influential practitioners will also be covered in detail. You can have access to the benefits and possibilities in conclusion.
A licensed Reiki master can only learn Reiki. One technique of discovering a Reiki master is to inquire about the practitioners they learned with. You can also contact local alternative treatment practitioners, such as massage or shiatsu, as these practitioners often have connections to other alternative therapy providers. Alternatively, you can check bulletin boards at yoga studios and health food stores or contact your local hospital to enquire about the availability of alternative or integrative medicine services. Because Reiki is widely used to help people cope with chronic illness, any local organization that helps people with cancer, HIV, fibromyalgia, or diabetes may have a resource list.
Because Reiki is not a standardized practice, there is no guarantee that someone claiming to be a "Reiki master" has the training and skill you are looking for in a teacher/mentor. As a result, knowing a Reiki teacher's background is critical, and a credible Reiki master will encourage you to do so.
Many Reiki masters have websites or brochures that detail their training, expertise, and classes. If you cannot locate such material, a simple discussion to ask some questions is sufficient. As stated in the section How Can I Find a Qualified Practitioner, many of these questions are similar to those you may ask a Reiki practitioner.
Inquire about the Reiki master's teaching abilities and available classes (scheduling, fee, etc.). Finally, inquire about the Reiki master's availability for ongoing coaching and group practice. Choose your Reiki master with consideration, seeking someone who possesses both the traits you're looking for and a sense of connection.

Reiki is a wonderful practice for cleansing your body and expanding your spiritual awareness of yourself and your surroundings:
- It has the power to push away the pain, anxiety, and negative emotions that hover over you like parting clouds on a rainy day.
- It may allow you to experience the joy of healing people for the first time, watching their amazement and awe at the healing power of Reiki treatments.
- It has the ability to bring your life into balance, heal your Chakras, and give you a sense of fulfillment and profound understanding.
- I know this since it happened to both my students and me.
There are traditionally three levels of course, each of which builds on the previous and defines a distinct, specialized scope of practice. Daily hands-on Reiki self-treatment remains the cornerstone of practice at all levels.
- The first degree is typically taught over eight to twelve hours. Students use Reiki for self-care and to exchange Reiki with one another. Students will learn how to give themselves daily Reiki for the rest of their lives in this workshop. Students learn how to share Reiki with family and friends in full or brief chair sessions, as well as how to deliver Reiki in acute situations and through informal "spot therapy." Reiki clinical application issues are regularly covered in Reiki classes for nurses and other healthcare workers. The Reiki master gives an overview of Reiki's history and precepts during the session, primarily experiential. Most importantly, the Reiki master initiates students, operating as Reiki energy channels. The conventional first-degree training consists of four initiations. Most people who want to practice for themselves and their families only need first-degree training.
- In the second degree, students learn to substitute a mental connection for hand-to-body contact as needed, allowing healing to occur even when touch is uncomfortable or inappropriate. (Psychotherapists, for example, may decide to pursue a second degree in order to bring a deeper level of healing into their sessions.) Second-degree treatments can also be used in conjunction with hands-on treatment.
- The third level is Reiki master. The Reiki master level of training was previously only offered by invitation. This offer was made only to experienced students who were willing to devote their lives to teaching others how to use Reiki. Rather than taking a course, master training has traditionally been completed through an extended apprenticeship with a Reiki master. Only Reiki Masters are authorized to teach Reiki to others.
