People around the world may have noted over the past decade how cryptocurrency enthusiasts use the true identity of the founder of Bitcoin, the enigmatic Satoshi Nakamoto, to speak. So far, the secrecy of Satoshi Nakamoto remains, and people like Satoshi also suspect others.
Over the years, there have been a lot of Satoshi suspects, and leading crypto news channels like News.Bitcoin.com have published several articles about the possibility of some people being Satoshi. The most popular among others is the series called The Many Facts on the suspects of Satoshi.
Although Satoshi left his Bitcoin project back in December 2010, over the past decade, people are still relentlessly hunting down the enigmatic founder. And this blog sheds light on some prominent crypto enthusiasts accused of being Satoshi Nakamoto.

Who Are These 7 Suspicious Satoshis?

Satoshi Nakamoto is, as we all know, the pseudo name used by the enigmatic person or group of individuals who created the original codebase of Bitcoin. But who this guy is, and how he looks, is still a mystery.
None of his personal details was revealed by the anonymous coder; he only stated that he was a 37-year-old male and lived in Japan. However, people still have doubts about his real identity and suspect several crypto experts. The following are some of those people who are highly suspected as Satoshi:

Hal Finney

Hal Finney is one of the most successful Satoshi contenders. As well as being the first person to run the Bitcoin codebase, he was an accomplished coder. People believe, therefore, that he undoubtedly had the skills to invent Bitcoin.

Nick Szabo

The second suspect is the computer scientist called Nick Szabo. Szabo has created a project called bit gold, which was released before Bitcoin. And several news channels suspect him to be Bitcoin’s creator.

Shinichi Mochizuki

Since a mysterious and little-known character is Shinichi Mochizuki, people suspect him as Satoshi. His long history of mathematical invention may be the explanation. His style of writing is a lot like the founder of Bitcoin, too.

Ian Grigg

The fourth suspected Satoshi Nakamoto is a financial cryptographer and Ricardian contract inventor Ian Grigg. As the cryptographer is associated with Wright, people believe he was part of a team called Satoshi Nakamoto.

Dorian Nakamoto

According to a Newsweek columnist, Dorian Nakamoto’s birth name was Satoshi Nakamoto. Dorian is a California-native and Japanese American engineer, and he was accused of being Satoshi back in March 2014.

Wei Dai

Wei Dai’s name is referenced in the Bitcoin white-paper as the creator of the technology quoted in the b-money white-paper. This made people believe that he might be the actual Satoshi Nakamoto.

Adam Back

The YouTube channel called Barely Social posted a video on May 11, 2020, titled Unmasking Satoshi Nakamoto, which claims that Adam Back can be the creator of Bitcoin.
