The U.S. Open will take place in Pebble Beach, California, in 2022. This is a tournament that annually attracts some of the best golfers in the world. This year, the tournament starts Monday, 29 August and ends Sunday, 11 September.

The PGA Championship will take place in 2023 at the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. It is one of four major championships on the PGA Tour schedule each year. Also, it is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments.

The Ryder Cup is an international team competition pitting Europe against the United States. The event takes place every two years since 1927 (except for 1939-1944 due to World War II).

NBA Finals

The NBA Finals are the culmination of the basketball season and are the most-watched event in the sport.

The Finals continue building a history since 1949. However, it wasn't until 1962 that they played a championship series between the winners of each conference in the NBA.

The first Finals took place at Chicago Stadium and featured the Minneapolis Lakers beat the New York Knicks in six games.

The Lakers went on to win four titles in a row. However, Boston Celtics coach Red Auerbach changed that with his "Big Three" in 1959. The Celtics won eight titles before losing to new rival Bill Russell's Celtics in 1968.

Since then, there have been plenty more iconic moments in Finals history. This year, history books remain open as favorites Golden State Warriors take on the Celtics.

FIFA World Cup

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is the 20th FIFA World Cup. This is a quadrennial international football tournament contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA.

It schedules to occur in Qatar, which was selected as the host by FIFA on 2 December 2010. This was beating out bids from South Korea, Japan and Australia.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the first to be hosted in Asia and the first time that multiple countries will host the event. Also, it sets to be the first World Cup where one of the host cities does not have an airport with direct flights to Europe. They will play all matches in Doha or Al Wakrah.

It is 40 km apart and connected via a highway. This comes after concerns over Qatar's ability to host due to potential issues with their summer climate.

The tournament will occur from 21 November to 18 December 2022, with 48 teams competing for the title at venues in Qatar and neighbouring Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Stanley Cup Final 2022

The Stanley Cup happens annually by the National Hockey League (NHL) to its champion team during the NHL playoffs. All games played at a single arena over two weeks following four rounds of best-of-seven series wins.

The winner gets the Stanley Cup trophy; while it is not an official part of the trophy itself. Winners often add their names and dates as a permanent record of their victory.

Wimbledon 2022

The infamous Wimbledon is a world-renowned tennis tournament that has been running since 1877. The event is at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, England. It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the Australian Open, French Open, and U.S. Open.

Wimbledon is popular as one of the most prestigious tennis tournament globally and attracts some of the biggest crowds ever seen on Centre Court.

In addition, the Wimbledon 2022 will take place from June 30 to July 13, 2022. The tournament will be played on grass courts only for the first time since 1987 when it was played on clay courts for three years due to an outbreak of the fungal disease Phytophthora ramorum in 2001.
