Daniel Wroughton Craig (born 2 March 1968) is a British actor who has appeared in a number of films and television shows throughout his career. Like James Bond in the eponymous film series, which began with Casino Royale (2006) and brought him international acclaim, he is perhaps best known. In addition to the first three films, he has appeared in three more since 2015, with a fifth film scheduled for release in late 2021.

In addition to his breakthrough role in the drama serial Our Friends in the North (1996), he has appeared in the historical drama film Munich (2005), the mystery thriller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), and the mystery-comedy Knives Out (2013).

Craig began his professional stage career in 1991, following his training at the National Youth Theatre and graduation from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. When he made his feature film debut in the dramatic film The Power of One (1992), he immediately gained attention for his appearances in the historical television war drama Sharpe's Eagle (1993) and the family film A Kid in King Arthur's Court (1995). The biographical film Elizabeth (1998) and the action film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) followed his appearance in Our Friends in the North, and he then went on to appear in the crime thrillers Road to Perdition (2002) and Layer Cake (2003, 2004).

Daniel Wroughton is a British actor who has appeared in a number of films and television series. Tim John Wroughton Craig (1943–2020), a midshipman in the Merchant Navy and steel erector, and Carol Olivia (née Williams), an art teacher, were born on March 2, 1968, in Chester, Pennsylvania. The Ring o' Bells in Frodsham and the Boot Inn in Tarporley, both in Cheshire, we’re owned by his father, who later became the landlord.

A younger sister, Lea, lives with Craig (born 1965). The French Huguenot minister Daniel Chamier and the English baronet Sir William Burnaby, 1st Baronet is among his ancestors, as is the Welsh baronet Sir William Burnaby. Grace Matilda Wroughton, his great-great-grandmother, is the inspiration for his middle name, Wroughton.

Craig and his sister moved to Liverpool with their mother after their parents divorced in 1972. During his childhood, his family lived on the Wirral Peninsula, where he attended Hoylake Primary School as well as Frodsham Secondary School.

Hilbre High School in West Kirby was where he went to high school. He attended Calday Grange Grammar School as a sixth form student after completing his compulsory secondary school education at the age of sixteen. For Hoylake RFC, he was a member of the rugby union squad.

At the age of six, Craig began acting in school plays, making his stage debut in the production of Oliver! at Frodsham Primary School. Attending the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool with his mother sparked his interest in serious acting.

While attending Hilbre High School, he performed in the plays Romeo and Juliet and Cinderella. He was accepted into the National Youth Theatre when he was 16 years old and relocated to London, where he worked part-time in restaurants to help pay for his college tuition. When he made his stage debut as Agamemnon in Troilus and Cressida, his parents were there to see him.

Under the direction of director Edward Wilson, he performed with the National Youth Theatre on its tours to Valencia and Moscow. Following an initial three-year course, he graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991 under the tutelage of Colin McCormack, a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company's company of actors.

Craig made his screen debut in the 1992 film The Power of One, where he played an Afrikaner. After appearing in supporting roles in the miniseries Anglo-Saxon Attitudes and the television shows Covington Cross and Boon, he made his stage debut as Joe in Tony Kushner's Angels in America, which premiered at the Royal National Theatre in London in November 1993.

Craig also appeared in two episodes of the American television shows Zorro and The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, as well as episodes of the British television, shows Heartbeat, Between the Lines, Drop the Dead Donkey, and Sharpe's Eagle, all of which aired during 1993. In 1994, Craig starred in The Rover, a stage production that was filmed, and Les Grandes Horizontales, a stage production that was staged at the National Theatre Studio, where he met Rachel Weisz, who would go on to become his second wife a few months later.

Craig appeared in the Disney film A Kid in King Arthur's Court, which was met with a lackluster reception by critics (1995). If not the funniest in Craig's career, his performance in Steven Soderbergh's Logan Lucky is surely one of his most entertaining roles. Joe Bang, an imprisoned southerner and demolitions specialist, is played by him.

He is approached by the Logan family, who asks him to assist them with a robbery at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina.

Spectre (2015)

Specter is a very straightforward entry into the James Bond series. Craig delivers another solid performance as the spy, but he doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Specter is a solid thriller that, although not as revolutionary as its predecessor, Skyfall, is nonetheless well worth seeing if you're a fan of the Bond franchise.
