The headliners for the three-day festival in Coachella 2023were Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny, and BLACKPINK. However, there were many more acts on the impressive, full lineup.
Frank Ocean performed in public for the first time in six years on Sunday night. He closed out the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with a set that included intimate solos and hints of new music, but the ending was a huge disappointment and had to end early because of local curfew rules.

Blackpink was the first K-pop band to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Saturday night. The girl group, which is made up of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé, made their debut in 2016 with the songs "Whistle" and "Boombayah." They had been practicing their skills for several years in a traditional K-pop trainee program.
The ladies showed up in style for their headlining set. They wore sparkly black and pink outfits and performed in front of what looked like a large temple. "Black Venom," a hit from their most recent album "Born Pink," was the first song they played."
The group took the audience back to their early days with the hit song "Kill This Love," which had a rock show-style pyrotechnics display that was toned down when they introduced themselves and led into "How You Like That," one of their most-played songs.
There are nine Blackpink songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Ice Cream," a song they made with Selena Gomez, reached No. 13 on the charts. The group was the first female K-pop group to start at No. 1 on the Emerging Artists chart.
If that doesn't explain why Blackpink was chosen to be the headlining act, the energy and high-quality production of the first 15 minutes should have been enough. The music is fun, and the band's popularity could be a sign of a larger shift back to the girl-power-heavy culture of the 1990s and early 2000s.
Bad Bunny made history when he closed the main stage as the first Spanish-speaking artist to do so. He also had a surprise guest, Post Malone, on stage with him. For "Beso" and "Vampiros," Rosala brought out her fiance, Rauw Alejandro.
Blink-182 was a surprise addition to Coachella, and their reunion show was full of hits. "Never Felt So Alone" by Labrinth and Billie Eilish was played live for the first time, and "Miracle" by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding was played live for the first time by the two of them.
Frank Ocean played live for the first time in 6 years. The mysterious pop-soul star, known for his two visionary albums "Blonde" and "Channel Orange," played for more than an hour at the festival's main Coachella Stage on Sunday night. But because Ocean started his show almost an hour late, he had to stop around 12:20 a.m. on Monday.
When he finally came out, Ocean started his set with "Novacane," the best song from his hit mixtape "Nostalgia, Ultra." He then played a few songs from his album "Channel Orange," like "Crack Rock" and "Bad Religion."
For the first few songs, the light fixtures were still hanging between Ocean and the audience. On the dimly lit stage, Ocean was often hard to see, but after a few songs, he became fully visible to the huge crowd at the Empire Polo Club.

Conclusion

There are great music festivals and then there's Coachella. Coachella is a music festival that changes every year, and Coachella 2023 was jam-packed with talent that you couldn't miss. Thousands of people went to the California desert oasis for a weekend of great music. There were surprises (Blink-182), global icons (Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, Rosala), indie favorites (boygenius, Gorillaz), and rare finds (Frank Ocean, Jai Paul).
