One of the notable highlights of this year's festival was the comeback attempt of Johnny Depp, following his high-profile trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Depp's latest film, "Jeanne du Barry," directed by French director Maïwenn, opened the festival to great anticipation.
When asked about Depp's presence at a recent press conference, festival director Thierry Fremaux expressed his unwavering support for the actor, stating, "I care about Johnny Depp as an actor."
