A new reportreleased today by the Center for American Progress, a left-leaning think tank with close ties to the Obama administration, ranks the states with the best policies “to accelerate demand for energy efficiency services, businesses, and ultimately jobs.”
The top 10, starting with the best, are: Connecticut, California, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, North Carolina, New York and Ohio. (I note that there’s very little representation on this list from the middle of the country.)
According to a summary of the report:
“„As this market rapidly grows in coming years, states that have put in place strong policies for energy efficiency will be best positioned to capture these new employment opportunities for construction workers in clean energy.
