I’ve Made a Huge Mistake
By mocking all those Segway tours that bombard Washington, D.C. every summer! Or at least that’s what I started to think when reading this Wall Street Journal article today. It turns out that maybe the self-balancing electric vehicle isn’t just a hilariously ridiculous-looking and semi-pointless invention, but possibly an eco-friendly mode of transportation. As gas prices rise, Segway sales are going up, reports the WSJ.

And businesses such as tour groups have been buying them too. But what I think is interesting — if not a bit humiliating — is that restaurants are starting to use Segways for delivery purposes. It makes sense from a cost perspective, it just kind of stinks for pizza delivery guys and gals.
Meanwhile, The Onion News Network asks, do you remember what life was like before the Segway??
