Yesterday’s post about the freerepublic.com habits of Maj. Stefan Cook wasre-posted at the site, where it drew (as of right now) 145 comments.
From tcrlaf:
The Washington Independent is a RABID Pro-lefty rag…
And they are trying to attack and minimalize Maj. Cook by associating him with “Those crazies at Free Republic”.
From GeronL
The Obama attack machine is already going after a firefighter and Sarah Palins children and now they have Maj Cook too??
DUAC might need a recruitment drive.
From machogirl:
Good find. The left is following those Alinsky rules.
From pissant:
Too late. Every soldier should be a freeper.
From 2ndDivisionVet:
Hundreds of so-called “impartial” journalists (aka presstitutes) belong to Huffington Post, the Democratic Underground, MoveOn, Daily Kos and God-knows-how-many other crazy, left-wing sites, but one Army Reservist posting here is news? So they’re going to do a “Joe the Plumber” on this major? Will we be hearing about his marriage, credit report, etc.? I’m almost glad my father didn’t live to see what they’ve done to the country he fought for in two wars…
And I’m sure his father would have loved to see him root for a soldier disobeying orders. For example, here’s what montanajoe said:
Being vet I can’t support this guy although I support the effort by civilian’s. In my view you can be a soldier or a civilian not both. I would not want to serve with him.
And from DieHardtheHunter:
My concern has been to avoid calling attention to the Major over here, on the FRee Republic, for fear of encouraging unwanted scrutiny from his enemies. They will no doubt be wanting to comb thru his past postings to find dirt if they can.
The more we post to this thread, the bigger its footprint and the easier Google will find it. And the more written material that becomes available for Discovery in court.
Seems like the kind of thing Cook should have thought about before suing, doesn’t it?
