Republicans Catch a Break in NY-20
Libertarian Eric Sundwall, who collected twice as many signatures as he needed to make the ballot in the NY-20 special election, might be bounced out of the election anyway.
“„Board of Elections staff threw out 3,786 of the signatures Sundwall’s campaign collected, almost entirely because the petitions were not technically correct as when a voter listed his mailing address instead of his town, for example… the ruling today leaves him short by 556.
This is good news for Republican candidate Jim Tedisco, who had worried about losing votes to Sundwall.
