Changing the Conversation

Jul 31, 2020278.7K Shares3.7M Views
Hillary Clinton’s campaign is moving quickly to change the conversation — and it hopes, change the dynamic of the presidential race.
Clinton was set to deliver a "major address" Wednesday morning, and, the campaign helpfully pointed out, she previewed it Tuesday night when she spoke in Youngstown, Ohio, after another loss to Barack Obama.
Both Senator Obama and I would make history. But only one of us is ready on day one to be commander in chief, ready to manage our economy, and ready to defeat the Republicans. Only one of us has spent 35 years being a doer, a fighter and a champion for those who need a voice. That is what I would bring to the White House. That is the choice in this election.
Trouble is, these new talking points don’t seem too different from what she has been saying over the last few days. With two weeks to go until primaries in Ohio and Texas — her last best chance to show she can still win this thing — she’ll have to come up with something else, won’t she?
