The exit polls from Wisconsin showed Barack Obama making still more inroads into Hillary Clinton’s core of supporters, especially women and blue-collar workers.
But as the campaign shifts to Ohio and Texas, one detail looks especially worrying for Clinton. The polls showed that the economy ranked first among the issues Democratic primary voters said they had in mind when deciding their vote — and 55 percent who cited the economy said they voted for Obama.
Clinton has been counting on her strength among blue-collar workers, and her pitch about jobs and the economy, to help her carry Ohio, where the manufacturing base has been hit hard. Plan B?
