I agree with those who saw a bit of a valedictory air in Hillary Clinton’s final comments in Thursday night’s debate.
But I’m even more taken by what happened this morning on NBC’s Today show, when Clinton refused to commit to stay in the race past the March 4 primaries. (Thanks to The Page for getting up early to watch.)
I don’t make predictions. I never have, I never will. I just get up every day and do the best I can to let people know what I have done, what I am doing and what I will do.
It was only Wednesday that her team was talking about where the delegate count would be in early June. I guess she’s heard what Bill Clinton has been telling crowds in Ohio and Texas about those March 4 votes: "If you don’t deliver for her, I don’t think she can be [the nominee]."
