Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) added one more a superdelegate before the close of business today. Jaime A. Gonzalez Jr., a Texas Democratic National Committee member, is backing the New York senator. Gonzalez, per the release:
“„I am supporting Hillary Clinton because I am convinced that she is the best choice for President…She has shown the leadership qualities that we need to win the presidency in the general election and give Democrats a victory in November.
Gonzalez has been a member of the DNC since 2000. He is also a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. His endorsement gives Clinton 273 superdelegates, while Obama has 250, updating MSNBC’stally.
