Yeah, What About China?

Sure, maybe by denying California a waiver to regulate tailpipe emissions, EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson is contributing to further global warming. But as Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) pointed out it’s not nearly as big a contribution as all those coal plants the Chinese are opening. And those people in India. The U.S. may be contributing to global warming, but the Chinese, you know, they’re even worse.
Johnson, who has been hammered by the oversight committee over the past 90 minutes, seemed taken aback by this friendly line of questioning.
"Well, that’s not the criteria I looked at," Johnson said. Though, perhaps wanting to milk Issa’s line of arugment, he went on to note that global warming is, indeed, "a challenge of global importance."
