As potential challenger after potential challenger decides against challenging her in 2012, Sen. Debbie Stabenow raised $1.5 millionin the second quarter of the year and has $4 million on hand for next year’s senatorial election.
Only six months ago the conventional wisdom was that Stabenow was vulnerable in 2012 and a number of high-profile names publicly flirted with the possibility of challenging her. Former Kent County Probate Judge Randy Hekman and Roscommon businessman Peter Konetchy are the only declared candidates in the race.
