Rep. Thad McCotter signed a pledge this week saying if he is elected he will appoint cabinet members and judges who share his belief that abortion should be illegal in the United States.
The Pro-Life Leadership Pledge has also been signed by six other GOP presidential runners, reportsMLive.com.
“„“The culture of death, as enshrined by Roe v. Wade, is a present danger to the weakest in our society,” he said in a statement released by the Susan B. Anthony List, the conservative non-profit group sponsoring the pledge.

Mitt Romney, while maintaining pro-life status, has refused to sign the pledge.
