Ron Paul pledges to focus on Iowa
As part of a campaign announcement that Ron Paul would be attending the upcoming Iowa GOP Reagan Dinner, the Texas Congressman’s presidential campaign staff noted their commitment to the Iowa caucus process.
“Iowa has always been an important state in establishing momentum and shaping the national debate,” said John Tate, campaign manager.
“Dr. Paul’s recent performance at the Iowa Straw Poll and his continued growth in the polls show that Iowa and the nation are looking to his leadership and experience for real solutions to the problems facing this country.”
Paul took the silver ring in Ames by garnering 4,671 votes. His tally was 152 votes behind that of U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann or, as his campaign put it, “less than one percent.”
In addition to his appearance at the Reagan Dinner, Paul has scheduled several Iowa stops next week, focusing on the eastern portion of the state. Details are available on the Factbook calendar.
