The 10-minute survey, which is posted on the Survey Monkey website, is intended for general audiences, but should be taken only by individuals who are age 18 and older, according to the creators. It was developed to capture all views on the issue, and the researchers are hopeful a broad cross-section of opinions will be represented.
The survey, which will remain open until midnight on June 16, hopes to gather opinions, impressions and general knowledge of same-sex marriage in Iowa.
Responses are confidential and survey-takers are not required to provide personal information. Results will be presented at Drake, located in Des Moines, during the last week of June.
