Judge issues injunction to halt C. Michigan U. faculty strike
Isabella County Circuit Court Judge Paul Chamberlain has issued an injunction to stop the Central Michigan University Faculty Association strike.
WKAR radio reported the news on its Facebook page:
From the Michigan Public Radio Network’s Amy Robinson in Mt. Pleasant: Isabella County Circuit judge Paul Chamberlain this afternoon signed a Central Michigan University injunction ordering the school’s unionized faculty members back to work. The court also has scheduled a hearing for Friday at 9:00am to hear arguments in the case.
Faculty members went on strike at 7 a.m. Monday to protest what they say is unfair bargaining behavior by the administration. President George Ross Monday morning chastised the instructors for not being in their classroom.
