The presidential exploratory campaign for former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, a Pennsylvania Republican, is announcing new additions to its Iowa and New Hampshire teams.
Jamie Johnson of Stratford will serve as the campaign’s state coalitions director, managing Santorum’s statewide coalitions and grassroots efforts. Johnson is a 20-year veteran of political campaigns and a frequent speaker at Iowa tea party events, according to the campaign. Johnson has also served on the Republican Party of Iowa’s platform committee, and has been a delegate to three state conventions.
April Baylor of Ames has been hired as an assistant to State Director Cody Brown. Baylor has previously served in volunteer roles in the campaigns for U.S. Rep. Tom Latham (R-Ames) and Gov. Terry Branstad.
The hiring of Jamie and April are in addition to Senator Santorum’s existing Iowa team: Senior Advisors Nick Ryan and Jill Latham, Iowa State Director Cody Brown and Field Director Lucas Draisey.
In New Hampshire, the Santorum campaign is adding Kristin Beaulieu of Nashua and Tyler Carlisle of Manchester as field representatives. Santorum’s field director in NH is Nick Pappas, and his national political director, Mike Biundo, is also leading the state team.
