Legendary Mexican-American rock guitarist Carlos Santana , in Georgia Sunday to receive a civil rights award from Major League Baseball, used the opportunity to blast Georgia and Arizona for their strict immigration laws. He said that if the people of the United States wants to enforce strict immigration laws, they should pack their bags and get out, leaving the country to Native Americans.

“„“This law is not correct. It’s a cruel law, actually,” Santana said in an impromptu news conference after the ceremony. “This is about fear. Stop shucking and jiving. People are afraid we’re going to steal your job. No we aren’t. You’re not going to change sheets and clean toilets.”
