The anti-abortion movement can claim a small victory in its crusade against Planned Parenthood. A recent Florida statewide survey of 807 likely voters in 2012 found a majority supports cutting federal funding for Planned Parenthood. #

The survey conducted by Viewpoint Florida found total support for cutting federal aid to the chain of reproductive health service providers is 54 percent, and opposition was 38 percent. #

Planned Parenthood has been the main target during this legislative session in the fight to restrict abortion access across the country on a state and federal level. #

Anti-abortion advocates have taken to exaggerating the role that abortions play in Planned Parenthood’s services, to comparing the organization to the Ku Klux Klan. #

The smear campaign against the organization has proven effective. Indiana has already passed legislation that would defund Planned Parenthood in that state. Other states have also started to deal with Planned Parenthood on a state level. #
