Tale of Two Joes: Arpaio Meets With Biden

Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff Joe Arpaio tweeted this morning that he’d met with Vice President Joe Biden, who was in Phoenix fundraising for Democratic members of Congress who could face tough Republican challengers in 2010. Biden was also touting the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Curiously, the meeting was not listed on the vice [...]

The War on Joseph Cao

Moments after Rep. Joseph Cao (R-La.) voted for the Democratic health care bill, countless anti-Cao Twitter feeds, Web forums, and Facebook pages were born. Here’s a sampling of comments from “Bye Bye Joseph Cao,” a group that, according to Facebook, five of my friends had joined.

Social Worker Raided for Rioting on Twitter Wants His Pickaxes Back

This seems almost too weird to be true, but Wired reports that on Oct. 1, federal agents seized the computers, manuscripts and pickaxes of an anarchist social worker in Queens, N.Y., claiming he violating anti-rioting laws on Twitter.

Libertarians + Twitter + Jake Tapper = Scoop!

Jake Tapper, the Twitter-addicted senior White House correspondent for ABC News, wrangles a frightening number of scoops and under-reported stories. Declaration of Twitter War

It appears that Senate Democrats have launched a “war room” on Twitter, not-so-subtly named DemWarRoom. The first tweet:

Joe Scarborough Takes On the GOP

A head-spinning series of tweets from the host of “Morning Joe.”

Grassley Launches Twitter War With Specter

The latest tweet from Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa):
Specter got it all wrong that I ever used words “death boards”. Even liberal press never accused me of that. So change ur last Tweet Arlen
Here’s Sen. Arlen Specter’s (D-Pa.) offending tweet.

Meghan McCain Picks, Throws a Fight With Michelle Malkin

The mysteriously omnipresent daughter of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) picks her latest fight with a conservative pundit and produces my favorite quote of the day.
Malkin has the No. 1 book on The New York Times bestseller hardcover nonfiction list, but I have nearly twice as many Twitter followers as she does.

Fred Thompson: Hey, Maybe the President Broke Twitter

I’ve been unable to use Twitter all day, and I’ve foolishly blamed it on a DNS attack. Fred Thompson has another theory:

‘Birthers’ Invade Capitol Hill, Again

Back in June, a small group of “birthers” arrived in Washington and began handing out “grand jury presentments” to confused staff at congressional offices and federal buildings. Today, another team is on the Hill, helpfully tweeting its progress with the CrystalChalice Twitter account and the hashtag #phnm. (Hat tip: Karen Cummings.)
Here’s their progress as of [...]
