I usually ignore partisan Web videos that aren’t backed by real media buys, but this one out today from the Republican National Committee, a sequel to this one, is fascinating in its convoluted logic.

Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.), after saying last week that he was undecided on Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, now says he will vote to confirm her for a seat on the high court.
“I plan to support her,” Nelson told a reporter for the Lincoln Journal Star.

A story today in the The Los Angeles Times on a study about biology and politics starts with: “Die-hard liberals and conservatives aren’t made; they’re born. It’s literally in their DNA.”
Intrigued, I called the study’s head researcher, Douglas Oxley of the University of Nebraska, to see if he agreed with this conclusion.
