One of Sinclair’s longtime fans, the mysterious “Citizen Wells,” has uploaded video of Sinclair introducing himself at a meet-the-candidates forum. It’s … fairly awkward. Sinclair spends much of his time warning the crowd that there’s something shady about him. “I’ve served my time,” he says. “I’ve accepted responsibility for what I’ve done.” And after some vague promises about staying closer to the district if elected, he notes that he’s “probably going to be the most vetted candidate in this entire race.”

In happier times, Sinclair was airing his allegations (which are re-aired by the Globe tabloid every few months) on a Puerto Rican talk show co-hosted by a puppet.

I found out about this because the Globe, a tabloid that reports basically anything Sinclair does, put it on the cover. Sinclair, who’s running as an independent, has one of the most honest slogans of 2010:

I have served my time, now it’s time I serve my Country.

There’s more at the site, including one possible explanation for his new career choice: a ticker that reveals he’s raised more than $200.

You testifying that three (3) members of Obama’s church were murdered will help me establish that expedited delivery is necessary because people wind up dead over Obama.

Sinclair also implicates Cynthia Davis, a Republican state representative from Missouri, claiming that she was part of a previous meeting with Taitz that Sinclair attended. Lucas Smith, the Iowa man who has been shopping around a forged Kenyan “birth certificate” for Obama, also appears in the affidavit.

A disclaimer: Sinclair is a con man with a long criminal record who has filed frivolous lawsuits in the past. But Taitz hasn’t denied this yet.

It’s hard to overstate how strange Sinclair’s campaign has been. He held a June 2008 event at the National Press Club after which he was arrested on an outstanding Delaware warrant. He has uploaded videos of himself eating in undisclosed locations and singing “America, the Beautiful.” In an old, now-deleted YouTube account, he uploaded phone calls he’d made to the DNC, the Obama campaign, and even Obama’s grandmother in Hawaii.

The punchline? He’s taking on Orly Taitz and accusing her of trying to give false testimony for one of her “birther” lawsuits.

I will be faxing to the United States District Court in Santa Ana, California as well as to the U.S. Attorney’s Office an Affidavit informing Judge Carter that on September 7, 2009 Orly Taitz did knowingly and intentionally ask me to appear before his Court on September 8, 2009 and give knowingly false testimony for the purpose of obtaining “expedited discovery,” and to gain publicity for my book.

Here’s the full account:

I have tried to stay neutral in the cases of Orly Taitz and have even tolerated the attacks from her and her supporters. I will no longer. Orly Taitz needs to be held accountable and responsible for her actions and her actions need to be made public.

I tried to be as polite as possible when explaining how I was contacted by Orly Taitz and what transpired on September 7, 2009 in personal meetings with her. Seems Taitz and her supporters have decided they need to engage in attacks and making false statements in a chat room by the name of “Tavern of the Ghostfighter (Correction)” and other sites to try and keep up the FRAUD that I am now convinced Orly Taitz is engaged in.

Allow me to correct one thing being claimed by Taitz and her marks: Orly Taitz at no time was in any airport with me and never once yelled at me anywhere. Now to make such claims is a bit telling as to her motives.

I have made it clear from my first going public on YouTube January 17, 2008 that I will stand by the truth and would not allow anyone to misrepresent my statements nor would I be dishonest in any way. Orly Taitz as an officer of the court engaged in behavior that if allowed to go unquestioned will harm any and all valid claims made on Barack Obama’s eligibility now or in the future. In the words of an Orly Taitz supporter, “She can’t lie and ask others to lie at the same time accusing Obama of lying. Lets get to the truth but we have to be honest in doing so.”

Larry Sinclair, a convicted felon who has made the leap from a credibility-challenged Obama accuser to an all-purpose Obama obsessive, is “glad that people have started standing up and fighting back when they are slandered and libel (sic) by anyone.”

As idiotic as all of this is, it’s noteworthy that President Obama’s conspiracy-minded foes are much, much weaker, and have much less punching power in the media, than President Clinton’s did at this point in his presidency.
