Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger!

Less than 24 hours after he told National Public Radio that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is thoroughly unqualified to assume the presidency, should the need arise, a despondent and, at times, stammering Eagleburger appeared today on Fox News to repent and offer a nearly 180-degree endorsement of Palin. Take a look:

Just to review, per Eagleburger:

a) He’s stupid;

b) Palin is chockful of experience and is a quick learner;

c) Obama is a flim-flam artist who has never done anything of value.

Did anyone else get the impression that just off-camera there may have been a high-level McCain staffer pressing a pistol into Eagleburger’s ribs?

Also, is it just me, or was the anchor using Jedi mind tricks around 1:52 in?
