Holly Yeager, Interim Editor
Holly Yeager is the interim editor of The Washington Independent, filling the shoes of Laura McGann, who is now an editor at Harvard’s Nieman Journalism Lab. Yeager, who covered the 2008 presidential primaries for TWI, is also the Peterson Fellow at the Columbia Journalism Review, where she writes about coverage of fiscal and economic policy. Prior to her work at TWI, Yeager was a reporter and editor at the Financial Times. Her work has also appeared in The Daily Beast, The American Prospect, O: The Oprah Magazine and The Wilson Quarterly.

Matthew DeLong, Managing Editor
Matthew DeLong co-edits TWI’s staff blog, The Independent Streak. DeLong worked the McCain beat for TWI from Arizona and aboard the McCain plane in 2008. He has previously reported for the Arizona Daily Sun and KNAU Arizona Public Radio in Flagstaff, as well as Campaigns & Elections (now Politics) magazine in Arlington, Va.

Aaron Wiener co-edits The Independent Streak and handles the behind-the-scenes work that improves the site’s functionality and brings new readers into the fold.
