Interior Department to Release Five-Year Offshore Drilling Plan Soon
Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 9:17 am
Politico reported this morning that the Interior Department is expected to release “as soon as today” the Obama administration’s updated five-year offshore drilling plan. Kieran Suckling, director of the Center for Biological Diversity, gave Politico his take on what might be included in the plan, but few concrete details have emerged.
The plan is significant because it will set the nation’s offshore drilling policy and will likely be informed by the BP oil spill. I’ll update with more details as I get them.
