Rangel Said to Have Cut a Deal With Ethics Committee
Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 1:28 pm
At the very last possible second, it looks like Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) has done it. CBS is reporting that he has cut a deal with the special ethics committee in which he would admit to wrongdoing and avoid a possible open and damaging trial in September. More details are expected to be unveiled as the current meeting unfolds.
Continuing a tradition of delivering excellent quotes, today Rangel said, “Sixty years ago I survived a Chinese attack in North Korea and as a result I wrote a book saying that I hadn’t had a bad day since. Today I have to reassess that statement.”

Mike McCaul said, “We also have an obligation to the American people to protect the integrity and accountability of the House.” He added that given that just 11 percent of Americans have a positive perception of Congress.
NEWSFLASH for Mike McCaul:
America is watching politicians from BOTH parties and we promise you a November to Remember! If C Rangel is found guilty of these ethics violations, we want just punishment – the kind that we would be subject to under the law. We know you GOBs just wink and slap each others backs as you thumb your noses at us and pay for your play from our taxes. The party is about to be over for BOTH parties. That should be evident with our 89% disapproval rating. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND WANT MOST OF YOU OUT!!!
