In a press release, West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin’s office announced that he will name a replacement for the late Sen. Robert Byrd during a 2 p.m. press conference tomorrow in the state capitol building in Charleston.
Presumably if Manchin has scheduled the press conference, he’s already picked someone and that person has accepted. There are still no indications as to who the replacement is, though there are several likely candidates. Stay tuned for updates.

First the announcement, tomorrow at 2pm, then the vote on the unemployment benefits, which should pass, this coming Tues, July 20th! Thank God, my mom bought groceries, today. I was down to eating stale crackers and water. …lost my apartment, end of last year. I feel for those, who have it even worse than me (with kids, medical condition, etc). The U.S. cannot let this happen, again.
