Today at the Heritage Foundation, legal experts debated the merits of the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision — with Justice Anthony Kennedy joining the liberal wing in the majority — in the Christian Legal Society v. Martinez case. The Court ruled that public universities may deny funding to student organizations that only allow certain types of students to become members — in this case, students who believed that homosexuality was a sin.
