It’s Official – McCain Supports the Bailout
Friday, September 26, 2008 at 10:49 pm
It took some followup from host Jim Lehrer, but tonight Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain finally went on record as saying he’ll vote for a bailout.
He didn’t say what kind of bailout or go into much details – his answer was a brief “yes” after Lehrer pressed him – but it was an answer nonetheless.
So this ends the drama of the past few days, all the questions over whether McCain’s plan was to bring House Republicans together or stage a revolt. The campaign suspension, the call to delay the debate… tonight, it all came down to a simple reply. Yes, he’ll support a bailout.
After that, however, neither McCain nor his rival, Democratic nominee Barack Obama, exactly stepped up to the plate to explain all the things they’ll have to cut back on as president, because of all the spending required for the $700 billion bailout.
Maybe that’s a followup question for the next debate.

A Bungled Economy…
Is this the America you remember growing up?
So where does the Buck Stop NOW ?
Why would America REWARD complete Republican failure ?
We wont.

The Choice is Simple:
If you want
EXPERIENCE AT GETTING IT WRONG,
Vote for McCain.
If you want
JUDGEMENT AT GETTING IT RIGHT,
Vote for Obama.
