Video: SCOTUS Experts Weigh In on Kagan Confirmation Process

Five legal experts discussed Elana Kagan’s prospects for confirmation to the Supreme Court today at the Aspen Institute, and Abbey Brandon of TWI’s video team was on hand. The experts — Rachel Brand, a Justice Department official under George W. Bush; Lanny Davis, a former special counsel to President Clinton; Ken Duberstein, a chief of staff to Ronald Reagan; Adam Liptak, the SCOTUS correspondent for The New York Times; and William Marshall, a deputy White House counsel in the Clinton administration — analyzed Kagan’s chances of confirmation, the questions she was likely to be asked, and the biggest things standing between her and the bench.
