Could the Tea Party Give Grayson a Boost?

It’s looking like the Tea Party might be Rep. Alan Grayson’s saving grace. The firebrand freshman Democrat from Florida won a close election in his swing district in 2008, and his race this November is expected to be a tough one. But now the Florida Tea Party is running its own candidate, Pat Dunmire, potentially splitting the district’s conservative vote.
The Orlando Sentinel reports:
As a third-party candidate and political newcomer with scant campaign funding, Dunmire has little chance of winning. But with a spot on the ballot listed under the Florida Tea Party mantle, she could attract votes from disaffected conservatives — votes that would otherwise likely go to the Republican candidate.
“Everyone understands the impact a Tea Party candidate could have in that race,” said Tom Tillison, an activist with the tea-party movement who has no connection to the formal political party. “It’s clear that Peg Dunmire’s candidacy stands to benefit Alan Grayson tremendously.”
Republicans fear Dunmire, an Orlando business consultant, will peel away enough votes in the general election to let Grayson coast into a second term, much as some Democrats still blame Green Party candidate Ralph Nader for taking votes from Al Gore in 2000, helping George W. Bush win Florida and the presidency.
Dunmire had started out as Republican, and now may be a spoiler in a crowded field of candidates vying to challenge the well-funded freshman.
Dan Faneli, another Republican in the race who has drawn national attention for remarks supporting racial profiling, was reportedly also courted by the Tea Party, but declined the offer, according to the Sentinel.

Alan Grayson works for the people. He is NOT a “big money” candidate as the Republicans have.
Heck, the Republicans are too busy playing circular firing squad to be bothered with things like representing those who sent them to D.C.
The baggers are a confused lot. I suppose to satisfy them, women are back in the house cooking “where they belong”, We're all back to using outhouses, Minorities are slaves once more, and corporations rule the economy. Social Security? Forget it. Medicare? Gone. A voice when things go wrong? BWAAAHAHAHAHAHA! Are you kidding? You'll be screwed unless you are “inner circle”. Just like now. If you're not rich, you are a victim.
It will be a great day when all this extremist nonsense finally comes to an end.

Alan Grayson is a buffoon. His performance at the NASA hearing towards NASA chief Bolden was a disgrace. I'm all for being a strong progressive, but this guy's just a bully.

Don't be confused, The Florida Tea Party is only a knock off and not the real tea party they're about the same as a tea cup and a pelican. Its backers are a bunch of fringe politicians who are either tax cheats or have been suspended from the Republican Executive Committee. Their candidate Peg Dunmire was easy pickins' when she bombed so bad in her interview with Icaucus and fell far short as a conservative, loosing out to conservative Republican Patricia Sullivan. They're a greedy bunch paying the head of the group $30,000 their attorney $50,000 and even Peg go in on a share of their supporters money, she got $7500. They are a dishonorable bunch of people and lacking in self esteem and character, character counts. The candidate who has real character is Patricia Sullivan, she co-founded of the North Lake Tea Party when Peg Dunmire was still agonizing as to what she should do,her own description. This lot will not carry out their act of spoiler, the voters in this district will not allow it.

Alan Grayson isn't a “big money candidate”??? Under which rock have you been living??? Grayson is a multimillionaire trial lawyer!
I'm not even going to bother addressing your other ridiculous ramblings because no one with half an ounce of common sense really believes the Republican Party (the party of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. – look it up) is advocating such offensive things.
The rumors about potential links between Alan Grayson and the Fake Tea Party “Florida Tea Party” continue to grow. Any conservative who wants to defeat Grayson in the fall should investigate the facts on their own, and I believe it will be very clear why the Florida Tea Party does not deserve our money, our support, or our votes.

So go ahead and vote your “concience”. It's a free country (of course, if the BAGGERS have their way, which I seriously doubt, it won't be for long!). Or you could vote for a worthless Repub. How's it taste, paying for a party that has done NOTHING in a year and a half? No one else I know of can do that in their workplace.
You obviously DON'T know what it is you hitched YOUR wagon to.
