Plurality of Americans Now Oppose Offshore Drilling Expansion
Friday, June 11, 2010 at 1:20 pm
Just 44 percent of Americans support an expansion of offshore oil drilling, according to a new Fox News poll — down from 54 percent three weeks ago and 70 percent in early April, before the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded and sent 25,000 barrels of oil a day gushing into the Gulf of Mexico.
Likewise, opposition to increased drilling now stands at 48 percent, compared to 38 percent in mid-May and 22 percent in early April.
Any chance that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) will reconsider his “no” vote on climate legislation, based ostensibly on opposition to provisions that restrict drilling, now that he’s in the minority? Don’t hold your breath.

Gee…….The blacker the Gulf becomes, you wonder why those supporters of off-shore drilling aren't screaming and hollering like usual.
Never stopped big-money supporters before.
