Florida Muslim Leader Receives White Powder in the Mail

The Council on American-Islamic Relations sent reporters an alert about a Florida Muslim leader named Joshua Evans who received a letter full of white powder. Evans was taken to the hospital and it turned out the powder wasn’t anything toxic. But this follows an incident where a mosque in which Evans worships was actually firebombed. Luckily, no one was hurt.
CAIR is calling on the Justice Department to investigate the powder incident as a potential hate crime. Here’s a video from a local news station in Florida about the incident that the group sent reporters:
